Regular skin checks with a qualified medical professional ensure your overall skin health and detect any suspicious spots. Dr Gilles Laur will provide a comprehensive head-to-toe exam, utilising his Dermatoscope (skin microscope) for additional insight into possible lesions or moles.
A doctor’s trained eyes may be able to detect cancerous skin spots, but uncertain lesions require more analysis. To determine whether or not the suspicious spot is in fact cancer, a biopsy -a small sample of skin taken from the area- can provide an accurate diagnosis. The dermatopathologist who examines this tissue will also be able to assess what kind of treatment would best serve you!
At Parkwood Skin Clinic, our experienced doctor strives to offer the best in medical, surgical and aesthetic treatments for skin, hair and nails. With various treatment options, Dr Gilles Laur will strive to improve the appearance of your skin.
